Note: HGA does not sell our attendee list. If you receive an email from someone offering the Convergence attendee list for purchase, it is a scam. Delete the email. This scam has been targeting the entire events industry recently.

How to Register

Registration for Convergence 2028 will open in November 2027. The complete Registration Book will be available online in August 2027 and included with the Fall issue of Shuttle Spindle & Dyepot. Watch your email and this website for registration dates and other important information.

Registration Methods

  • Online - HGA's preferred method. Online registration is secure and provides immediate email confirmation.
  • By Phone - (678) 730-0010, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET
  • To qualify for a 25% discount on sessions, you must first complete the purchase of the CVP and receive email confirmation. If the CVP is not purchased and paid for, then the discount won’t apply.

Who Can Attend?

Everyone is welcome at Convergence®! Most events are open to the public, while some are available exclusively to HGA members and donors.


Convergence® Value Packages (CVPs) and session registrations are available to Individual, Household, Student, and Professional Artist members of the Handweavers Guild of America, Inc. To join HGA or make a donation, visit WeaveSpinDye.org.


Registration is first-come, first-served. Sessions may sell out, so we encourage you to register early. HGA will update registration information as promptly as possible when sessions are nearly full or sold out.

Registration Deadlines

Registration deadlines for Convergence 2028 will be posted as they are finalized. Registrations received after the regular workshop registration deadline will be accepted based on availability and may be subject to a $25 late registration fee.


Meals, tours, special events, seminars, and other activities may have separate registration deadlines. Please check the individual event listing for details.

Marketplace

HGA supports our Marketplace vendors by providing a list of registered attendees that includes name, state/province, country, and email address. Your participation helps support small fiber-art businesses.


Your privacy is important to HGA. You may opt out of having your name and email address included on the attendee list during registration.

Supplies and Material Fees
Session supply lists are available on the HGA website. Any required materials or supply fees are paid directly to the Instructor at the beginning of the session. HGA does not collect supply or material fees.

Session Changes

Presenters and Leaders are subject to change without notice.


Attendees may request to change from one session to another session with an equivalent or higher registration fee by submitting the Change Request Form by April 4, 2028. A $25 administrative fee per session change applies.


Session changes will not be accepted after April 4, 2028.

Cancellations

Sessions, tours, and other activities may require a minimum number of participants to operate. HGA reserves the right to cancel an activity if there is insufficient registration. If HGA cancels an activity, registrants will receive a full refund for that activity.

Cancellation requests for sessions, evening events (Fashion Show, Thread Talks, and Keynote), tours, and meals must be made by completing the Cancellation Request Form. Cancellation requests received:

  • By January 31, 2028 - Receive a 75% refund
  • By April 4, 2028 - Receive a 50% refund
  • April 5, 2028 and later - Non-refundable

CVPs are non-refundable and non-transferable. Day passes, exhibit entry fees, and jurors’ talks are non-refundable.

Travel Insurance
HGA recommends purchasing travel insurance and reviewing your policy carefully to ensure it provides adequate coverage for your circumstances.


Standard trip-cancellation coverage generally applies only to specified reasons, such as certain illnesses or severe weather. A Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) benefit may provide reimbursement for a broader range of circumstances, subject to the insurer's terms and purchase deadlines.

Health & Safety Statement

Attendees are expected to follow health and safety requirements established by HGA and the event venue. By registering for Convergence®, attendees acknowledge that they are participating voluntarily and assume responsibility for their own health and safety while attending the event.


HGA is committed to maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment for all attendees. We ask that attendees use good judgment, respect the health needs of others, and refrain from attending if they are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness.



Any health and safety requirements or updates specific to Convergence® will be communicated to registered attendees as needed.
