Enter your artwork to be seen on the world's stage.
A prospectus for each exhibit, including description, requirements, jurors, entry fees, and deadlines, is available online. As always, entry fees for HGA individual, household, and professional artist members are discounted. Students with proof of enrollment at an accredited institution will receive complimentary entry.
- Small Expressions 2026 is an annual touring juried exhibit of small-scale fiber art not to exceed 15 inches (38cm) in any direction. Juror: Ellen Hess
- Krewe of Threads: Let the Good Times Roll, Wearable Art Exhibit features the work of juried and invitational artists. Any fiber arts technique may be used. Exhibit will be displayed first in a runway fashion show and then as a traditional exhibit. Juror: Karen Donde
- Lagniappe: The Art of Everyday Beauty, Functional Art Exhibit - generously sponsored by Yarn Barn of Kansas - encompasses aesthetic objects designed for everyday use that are not only practical but also artistically pleasing. It's art that serves a function and is also designed for its beauty. Juror: Marcia Weiss
- Creative Spirits of the River, Yardage Exhibit is open to lengths of constructed and or embellished yardage. Any fiber arts technique may be used. Juror: Mary Zicafoose
- Threaded Revelry: Throw Me Something, Mixed Media Exhibit - generously sponsored by Fiber Arts on 4th - is open to work created in any two or more media using a fiber arts technique. Juror: Tina Linville

New Orleans Exhibits
Small Expressions is an annual juried exhibition produced by the Handweavers Guild of America, Inc. and showcasing contemporary small-scale works (not to exceed 15 inches in any direction) using fiber techniques in any media. Small in scale but visually compelling, this exhibit features work that speaks to the intricacy of expression, the intimacy of design, thoughtful communication, and visual excitement. The artists in this exhibit create a big impact through small pieces.

The Convergence Leaders Exhibit showcases recent work by the instructors and presenters of Convergence 2026. Representing a wide range of fiber techniques, materials, and creative approaches, these artists are not only accomplished makers but also dedicated educators who inspire and support the fiber art community through their teaching, mentorship, and innovation. This exhibit offers a glimpse into the diverse practices and personal artistic voices of the individuals shaping this year’s conference experience. View the Instructor's Sessions.

The Convergence Intern Exhibit features recent work by the Convergence 2026 interns—emerging fiber artists currently enrolled in accredited fiber arts programs across North America. Showcasing fresh perspectives, technical exploration, and creative innovation, this exhibit highlights the next generation of artists shaping the future of the fiber arts community.
Skein Competition and Exhibit

A spinning competition: Skeins will be judged on criteria including overall appearance, singles, plying, dyeing/blending, and appropriate presentation.
Juried Exhibit Awards
- Cash prizes provided by HGA include: First Place ($500), Second Place ($250), and Third Place ($100) for awards totaling $850+.
- Additional Honors and/or cash prizes may be sponsored by individuals or groups.
- Winning pieces will be published in Shuttle Spindle & Dyepot magazine.
- Winning pieces will be featured on HGA's Instagram and Facebook.

Hosting a Fiber Art Exhibit near New Orleans in 2026?
HGA is seeking gallery spaces to host fiber art exhibits that coincide with the Convergence conference in New Orleans (August 12-16, 2026). Exhibits may be self-produced, juried, or curated, provided the exhibit includes works made of fiber or handwoven techniques. HGA is happy to assist venues and groups who are interested in hosting an exhibit. We can assist with connecting to jurors and fiber artists.
